The History of Two Homes

The top home here was originally built in 1876 by my great-great grandfather as a log cabin, and added onto in the 1920’s by my great grandfather to look like this version that I painted. It’s where he and his wife raised their daughters who each got married there (one being my grandparents.) With some renovating, one of their children later raised their family there, too.
In the 2010’s, it was determined that the structure was beyond repair and a beautiful, new home was built in its place. I love how much history this little spot holds and all the stories that took root here.
